Everyday Steps with Jesus-3.png

When Jesus rose from the grave, he told his followers to "Go and make disciples".  What does that mean?

Loving God and Loving Others

Matthew 22:37-40

The Crossing is a new church serving Houlton and the surrounding area that opened its doors early in 2019.  Our mission comes from something Jesus talked about often: “Loving God and Loving Others”.  In fact, in Matthew’s gospel, Jesus called this the Greatest Way to live.  Is it  really possible to Love God AND Love Others?  We believe that it is.  In fact, Jesus said it is not only possible, but necessary that these two loves stay together!  And in doing so, we fulfill the whole scripture!   At The Crossing, that is our mission:

to be a people who Love God and Love Others. Period.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

-Matthew 22:37-40

Click on the videos below to hear more about what you can expect to experience at The Crossing

Note:   These videos were created in our original evening location. We now worship on Sunday mornings with the same feel as what you will hear in these videos.

If you would like to learn more about The Crossing, you can connect with our Lead Pastor, Michele Arndt at michele@thecrossingcov.org.
Michele earned her BA in Communications from the University of Northwestern St. Paul in 1997 and is currently pursuing her Masters of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary.  Michele worked in the corporate sector before transitioning into ministry with college students. She served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at UW-River Falls for nine years, has lived in the community for almost 20 years and is eager to create a space for families in the Houlton and surrounding area to gather at The Crossing.

The Crossing is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
